4VWO – Phrasal verbs chapter 4

Lesson #4151

A phrasal verb is a verb + a small word (like up, on, off, in, out, by, or back).
Together they often have a special meaning that you canโ€™t always guess from the words alone.

For example:

get up = to leave your bed in the morning
turn on = to start a machine or light
